Diesel Engine Exhaust Emissions (DEEEs)

Health Surveillance

Under COSHH, no formal health surveillance is required by employers of those exposed to diesel exhaust fume or related emissions. However, if employees are concerned about the short or long-term health effects of exposure to diesel engine exhaust emissions (DEEEs), they should discuss the problem with their manager.

If employees are suffering irritancy effects following exposure to DEEEs, it may indicate that the controls have failed and prompt action should be taken.
